Signing up for Credit Card bonus miles can save you serious money. The latest hot bonus is the 50,000 United Airlines Miles with Chase. You will get 50,000 bonus miles after first purchase. There is no minimum, hence it can be as small as a pack of gum. Also, no fee first year. If you feel there is no need to keep the card after the bonus miles, make sure to call and cancel. Otherwise there will be a $60 fee thereafter
Here’s what to do:
- Call 1-800-421-4655.
- Select “manage my account”
- Provide mileage plus number and zip code. If you are not a member, sign up here.
- Say “more options”
- Say “apply for a United mileage plus card”.
- Tell CSR, “I want to apply the 50K bonus miles promotion”
Terms and Conditions say that this one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time United Mileage Plus Visa cardmembers with new accounts. However, many claim that they don’t check so ymmv.
I was approved automatically. Also, at the end of the conversation with the CSR, mention 1000 mile upgrade and the $25 United credit. YMMV since it might also stack up.
